Engagement at Duke Gardens

ALONA & SETH

It’s not every day that an old friend takes the monumental step of getting engaged, and when it happens, it’s a beautiful reminder of the passage we all embark on. I’m thrilled to share the story of an old friend, who recently got engaged and who I was able to see again after so many years to document this moment.

I’ve known Alona since we worked together at Cheesecake Factory in Boston Massachusetts—navigating the ups and downs of adolescence, and dreaming about our futures. Seeing her in this new role as a Fiancé was absolutely gratifying.

As we celebrate this new chapter, I can’t help but think about all the milestones these two will get to experience together—from working together in Boston to both of us moving to Raleigh NC, and me being able to capture Alona's engagement, was just meant to be. The irony and the magic of it was spectacular. I feel lucky to have been part of their journey.

Now, as they dive into wedding planning, I’m excited to help out in any way I can. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their love and reflect on the years I knew her.

To Alona and Seth, as you embark on this incredible journey together, remember to cherish each moment. Communication is key, and don’t forget to make time for yourselves amid the planning whirlwind. Your love is a beautiful adventure, and I’m so excited to see where it takes you both!

As I look back on our friendship and forward to this new chapter in their lives, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Celebrating an engagement is not just about the couple; it’s about the friends and family who have supported them along the way. Here’s to love, laughter, and many more cherished memories to come!
